Power Pitching Targets:

  1. Max Scherzer, WAS ($13,000 DK, $11,600 FD)Is this real life, or is this just fantasy? The seemingly dream matchup is here. Lucky for you, I'm here with a couple warnings... First, Max is slightly injured with a bruised calf from a comebacker earlier this week. Nats will be taking it easy on the Scherz and we might see a gentle giant tonight. Two, his two starts vs. Philly this year he also fell below projections (still pretty decent tho). In 26 starts this season, the ace right-hander is pitching to a 2.19 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 232/43 K/BB ratio across 172 1/3 innings. He has dealt with a few smaller injuries during the campaign, but has been dominant when able to take the mound, and it's Philly so we're obligated to put him here. I put this slightly ahead of yesterday's worrisome Kershaw matchup. Still concerning, we put this decision on you.

  2. Patrick Corbin, ARI ($9500 DK, $9500 FD)Every single time Corbin has met the Padres this year (3x) he's doubled his projections with 8-strikeouts or more. It would seem that despite their up/down nature that the Pads cannot hit this lefty. SD's lineup has a .298 wOBA vs lefties. SD's lineup has a .129 ISO vs lefties. Doesn't hurt that he's scorching hot, scoring 27.93 FPPG past 6 games. Also very comfortable when at home, scoring 28.6% more in the climate controlled goodness of Chase field.
