TOP MLB Plays Today 9/28/17

Relatively small slate tonight.

Power Pitching Targets:

  1. B. Peacock, HOU ($9500 DK, $8200 FD)  Houston still has a shot for the best record in the AL, so they have an incentive to win, but they have a matchup with the Red Sox in Fenway. Peacock is a strikeout machine averaging 10.9 K/9 over his last 20 starts, and has frequently found himself in the optimal lineup lately. The matchup is less than ideal, but his price (on both DK and FD) is what makes him worthy of the top spot.

  2. S. Gray, NYY ($11700 DK, $9200 FD)  Anything can happen when the Commodore Sonny Gray takes the mound, and lately it has been a lot more good than bad. Sonny tends to take advantage of soft matchups and that's what he has tonight. TB's lineup has a .296 wOBA vs. Righties and a 23.4% KRate. In a night where no one knows how deep any of the top pitchers will go, it's hard to recommend paying up for Sonny Gray, but he definitely has the best matchup of the power pitchers.
