TOP MLB Plays Today 9/1/17

High level of confidence in our power picks, medium level confidence in our value picks, but as always we're gunning for upside there.

Power Pitching Targets:

  1. Mike Clevinger, CLE ($8200 DK, $8500 FD)Detroit Tigers have accepted their fate and made strides last night towards rebuilding. Can't be good for team morale. Combine that with a less threatening lineup without Upton and you've got a great opportunity with Clevinger tonight. Every single bit of sauce we've got says Clevinger is your man tonight. DET's lineup has a 21.3% K rate vs righties. DET's lineup has a .299 wOBA vs righties. DET's lineup has a .127 ISO vs righties. DET hitting .110 vs Mike Clevinger in 28 at bats. Averaging 21.2% more FP while Away. Top 80% avg exit velocity past 30 days: 85.3 mph. Bottom line is Mike should thrive tonight given Detroit has nothing to play for.

  2. Luis Castillo, CIN ($9500 DK, $8100 FD) -Luis looking prime tonight, he destroyed PIT in a similar matchup last week. Sauce is in his favor: PIT's lineup has a .141 ISO vs righties. Top 85% avg exit velocity past 30 days: 84.9 mph. Top 90% avg distance past 30 days: 180.3 feet. Nothing in life is certain, but Luis looks delicious in our humble opinion.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Kershaw is only getting 75pitches/5innings max tonight. He is not playable, unless you have a very specific plan for him.
