Pitching tonight is going to be terrible. Tread carefully...

  1. Carlos Martínez, STL ($12,100 DK, $9800 FD) - GreenIt's a very wise move to pay up for Carlos today. He's pretty much the only "reliable" A-squad pitcher going off tonight. Against the Padres nonetheless. There's a lot to like about this matchup: St. Louis is heavily favored. [-230] Feeling good at home, Busch Stadium: #9 most pitcher-friendly park. SD's lineup has a 23.3% K rate vs righties. When San Diego does hit righties, they hit hard with Spangenberg, Myers, Margot. Which is the bad part: SD's lineup has a .345 wOBA vs righties. SD's lineup has a .201 ISO vs righties. Carlos should eat very well tonight, but there's always the chance the good Padres show up.  Wind also expected to be blowing in slightly might save some of the weaker Padres HR from making it over the wall. 

  2. Jake Arrietta, CHC ($10,200, $9700 FD ) - YellowJake eats reds. That's the name of my new band. Arrietta ate them in July. Net Result: CIN hitting .240 vs Jake Arrieta in 92 at bats. He's hot this month. Scored 23.68 FPPG past 2 games. I don't have much more to say about him other than, he's one of the more capable pitchers with a decent matchup + history to justify paying up tonight. That being said, are Reds bats terrifying? Yes. 

  3.  Chris Sale, BOS ($13,700 DK, $11,000 FD) - Red-emption Game? So how do you feel about paying huge for a pitcher to get you 3fpts? That's exactly what happened with Sale on Aug 1. vs. Cleveland. Now he's even more expensive the 2nd time around. UGH! The only good news I can tell you is that elite pitchers like Sale are ultra competitive. They don't forget stuff like August 1st and have been waiting for the opportunity to redeem themselves. Redemption time for Sale tonight. But, dammit Cleveland bats are insanely scary. Good luck with this one, total pick and pray situation... to that regard high upside with likely medium to low ownership.
