Top MLB Plays 4/27 | deGrominator's Revenge ⚔️

Tastefully curated M-F by LineStar fantasy experts.

The DFS MLB season is all about enduring. You're going to have 6+ months of action and some days are going to be up, and others are going to be down. The great thing about it though is that every single day is different. Take yesterday for example, we endured a fun size 4-game slate and tonight are rewarded with a doozy of a 14-gamer. Some people like the hammer-it-out approach of the smaller slates while others thrive in finding hidden gems of the larger markets. It's definitely the latter today, so let's attack it by being provocative – but also organized.

There are 20 more pitchers to choose from tonight compared to yesterday but there are no pure stand-out performers. Can Sean Manaea throw back-to-back no hitters for the first time since Johnny Vander Meer in 1938? Is Chris Tillman a good contrarian play today considering he's allowed 4+ ER in every start this year and surrendered 3HR his last start? Will big names like Dallas Keuchel and Corey Kluber start to settle into their normal regular season routine and get the dominance train rolling? Find out the answers to all these questions and more in tonight's MLB Main Event.

deGrominator is ready to punish Padres tonight

Power Pitching Targets ⚾️

  1. Jacob deGrom ($ 12,400 DK, $ 10,600 FD)His buddies in the bullpen aren't doing deGrom any favors blowing his last two leads. The Mets ace is still putting up great fantasy numbers though as he has 22 SO the last two games (31.2 FPPG). Expect another big night in pitcher friendly Petco against a San Diego team that strikes out 1/4th of the time against right hand ball tossers.

  2. Stephen Strasburg ($ 10,800 DK, $ 10,100 FD)Strasburg went to the lost and found and recovered his fastball in his last start, striking out 10 Dodgers hitters in the process. He's surrendered 2ER or less in 3 of 5 starts this year and Washington is a substantial -150 favorite at home against Arizona tonight. The D'Backs hit Strasburg well at .268 for their careers and have a solid .164 ISO overall against RH pitchers but Stras' should put up some numbers in his own park.

deGrom got everything going for him tonight, including Padres

Value Pitchers

  1. Tyler Anderson ($ 7,700 DK, $ 6,500 FD)Anderson has big time value as Colorado is a -134 favorite on the road at pitcher friendly Marlins Park. Although Miami does hit LH rather well (.342 wOBA, .163 ISO), Anderson is on a nice mini-run with 18.9 FPPG over his last 4 starts. Another interesting stat is that he averages 29.4% less FP on the road – even though his home stadium is Coors Field. This means he's pitching well in spite of the park, and now it's time to put it together in an away game.

  2. Drew Pomeranz ($ 7,500 DK, $ 7,200 FD)People are shying away from Pomeranz tonight as he struggled with his control the last time out, throwing 23.7 P/IP while allowing 3 ER in 3.1 IP vs. the A's. Something you have to remember though was that was the lefties first start of the year off the DL and he also still had 7 K's. Plus it was a good sign that Pomeranz still threw 87 pitches in that game being it was his first start of 2018. He should have much better success tonight against a Tampa Bay lineup that has a 23.4% K rate against lefties and who K'd 26 times in 19.1 innings against him in 2017.

#HomeRunWatchlist 💥

Arenado has been in 5 of the last 7 Perfect Lineups 😲

>>> HRW brought to you by Daily Matchup Tool <<<

  • Jacoby Jones – Tillman gives up 2.52 FP/PA against RH batters and Jones has an exit velocity of 97.2 MPH the past two weeks.

  • Miguel Cabrera – Cabrera is 6-20 with a HR and 2-2B against Tillman and is averaging 12.8 FPPG over the past week.

Stacks on Stacks 🥞

There's 28 options for stacking tonight and every team is in action today if you count the Brewers at Cubs afternoon tilt. With so many home runs in so few games yesterday it was a huge stacking night and let's hope that continues with these teams:

  • LAD – Grandal / Kemp / Seager – Up against SF's Derek Holland with a wind blowing out to center at 15 MPH. Holland surrendered 3HR his last start and is bottom 10% in exit velocity and distance through the first month of the season.

  • NYM – Frazier / Cespedes / Flores – A combined 7-12 with 3HR a 3B and a 2B against San Diego's Clayton Richard. The Mets have a .326 wOBA against lefties and have hit .370 vs Richard.

  • DET– Cabrera / Castellanos / Jones/ Martin – All four have averaged over 10 FPPG this week and are up against Baltimore's Chris Tillman who is in the bottom 20% in exit velocity the first month of the season and is 0-4 with a 9.87 ERA.

  • CHW– Davidson / Anderson / Abreu / Moncada – Chicago scored 14 runs on KC in the opener including 5 ER and 3 HR off Danny Duffy. The Kansas City left hander allowed another 6ER in his last outing and is in the bottom 10% in distance this season. Plus, he's facing a wind blowing out to RF at 8 MPH which should negate the pitcher-friendliness of Kaufman Stadium.

Yesterday's PERFECT Lineup. This could be you tonight 🤩

It's a baseball buffet on Friday night with a lot of variety injected across your DFS landscape. Every team in the MLB suits them up – some will be great, some will lay an egg. Let's save the eggs for Saturday morning and since Lebron is in action tonight let's #striveforgreatness.
