Top MLB Plays 4/24 | Heating Up π₯π₯π₯
Tastefully curated M-F by LineStar fantasy experts.
The weather is warming up around MLB pallparks but a few teams are scoring like it's the Fall and football season. The Yankees put up 14 last night behind a Giancarlo Stanton 445 foot bomb and a 4-4 night (those 5 K nights are starting to get further in the rear view mirror. The Padres offense also got it going with 13 runs out at Coors Field and even the 5-14 White Sox tallied 10 last night.
Tuesday is arguably the best night of the week for DFS success as the majority of teams are in action mostly with nighttime starts. That's true again for tonight with 11 games on the main card. Will offense reign supreme again for tonight or does Tuesday belong to the pitchers?
The pitching slate for Tuesday night isn't very top heavy, which means there's going to be some variety across the board. There's some close games expected too as only one contest (Marlins at Dodgers) features more than a -165 betting favorite. No one pitcher is really sticking out β which is actually a good thing. There is some rain in the forecast in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore so tread carefully with players in those games.
Power Pitching Targets βΎοΈ
Rick Porcello ($ 9,500 DK, $ 8,800 FD)Porcello is having a great start to the year, first off playing behind a Boston offense that has helped him start the season with 4 wins. Porcello has gone two straight outings without allowing a run (13 IP) and is 2nd in the majors in both strikeout-to-walk ratio (23.00, 1 BB all season) and walks per 9 innings (0.35).
Charlie Morton ($ 11,200 DK, $ 9,900 FD)Morton is the highest projected pitcher for Tuesday even though he's up against the LAA offense. There's good reason for that too as Morton has allowed 0ER in 3 of 4 starts this year. The one time he did allow 2ER two starts ago against Texas, it was because more of an aggressive strategy that netted him 12 K's. The Angels are 10-1 on the road this year, but the 'Stros have won 6 of 7 and are significant -145 favorites tonight.
Value Pitchers
Zach Davies ($ 7,000 DK, $ 8,000 FD)Davies is first off up against a KC team that has lost 8 of their last 10 games. The Brewers right hander has 2 shaky outings (11 ER, 10 IP) but two stellar ones (1 ER, 12.1 IP). There's good value in expecting solid results out of Davies tonight as KC has a .142 ISO vs. right handers. Kaufman Stadium is a top 10 pitcher's park and Davies has actually been much better on the road with 51% more FP away from Milwaukee.
Chad Kuhl ($ 6,900 DK, $ 7,000 FD)There's a 30% chance of postponement in Pittsburgh tonight but if they get the game in there's very solid value in the Pirates starter. First off the wind is blowing in at 9 MPH and the Pirates are favored at -155 even though Detroit has a top 15 offense. Kuhl has allowed 2ER or less in two of four starts this year and also averages 36% more FP while at home.

Paul Dejong β Dejong isn't exactly a reach as he's the 6th costliest SS on the board on DraftKings and leads the Cardinals in HR this season with 7. He's also been really great in his career against Steven Matz, going 3-4 with 2 HR.
Stacks on Stacks π₯
WAS β Harper / Turner / Kendrick β With the wind blowing out at 14 MPH and the game in San Francisco with no rain in sight the best ability for Nationals players tonight is 'availability.'
SFG β Belt / Crawford / Panik β Same stack play due to the favorable weather conditions at AT&T Park
LADβ Grandal / Taylor / Seager β There's a slight wind blowing out to right but moreso the Dodgers are a quality stack because Miami's Dillon Peters has a 15.30 ERA on the road this year.
OAKβ Davis / Lowrie / Chapman β The highest O/U on the board tonight at 9.5 so the runs have to come from somewhere right? Texas' Hamels is 0-2 with a 6.55 ERA at home his last two starts.
The Opposite Ohtani Stack Option (OOSO)
Houston β Altuve / Correa / Reddick β Shohei Ohtani gave up 3ER in just 2 IP his last start while the Astros offense had scored 36 runs in the 4 games prior to last night's 0-2 loss.
Tonight should be interesting with very few 'sure things' on the board tonight. Sure things are boring anyway so let's dig deep and find some Tuesday night success.
