Welcome to the Father's Day edition of the Daily Ledger. My dude and one of the hardest working dads I know, @gp_landry, has the day off and I'm (zeroindenver) is filling in for him. We have a pretty good slate and what do you know, it's an 11-game slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel. So Happy Father's Day to all the dads reading this today and good luck!

Keep in mind, it's still Saturday night in beautiful Denver, so I have little weather info at this time. I can tell you that through the beauty of the Internet, there are a few games to keep an eye on tomorrow. Right now, Texas-Cincinnati looks to be the worst but Cleveland-Detroit is worth keeping an eye on as well.

Stay up to date on all weather conditions and confirmed lineups as soon as they are released over on the Daily Dashboard!

Pitchers to Consider

Brad Peacock | DK: $8.8K, FD: $8.5K | RHP | vs. Toronto

I'll be honest, I've gone back and forth on Peacock. In an initial build, he's my top owned pitcher. On one hand, I like his upside. Toronto is a trash team. On the other hand, his Statcast numbers are elevated. That usually doesn't end well, but I'm willing to risk it for the biscuit with him today. Does Peacock win me a GPP today? Probably not, but let's hope he doesn't cost me a win.

Dakota Hudson | DK: $7.4K, FD: $8.7K | RHP | @NYM

This feels weird because I've made good money stacking against Hudson at the beginning of the season, but I like Hudson today. He's priced perfectly on Draftkings and has pitched 6 straight quality starts coming into today's game. However, he doesn't have a lot of upside. He doesn't strike out a lot of people, and he walks too many people, but I feel this is a perfect day to spend down on pitching and spend up on bats.

Martin Perez | DK: $7.3K, FD: $8K | LHP | vs. Kansas City

Growing up, my dad wouldn't spend up for anything outside of home theater equipment. So as a tribute to my dad, we'll round out my pitchers with a third "not spending up on pitchers" pitcher. The problem here is Perez is about $1000 too expensive. His Statcast numbers have looked good, but I still think he's pretty risky. He's almost sure to give up some earned runs. In other words, if watching your pitcher struggle through 30-pitch innings while giving up a few earned runs is your DFS nightmare, I'd stay away. Me, on the other hand, will be rolling him out.

Team Stacks to Target

Quick Note: Keep in mind, thereโ€™s no rule saying you *have* to roll out four and five man stacks. Sometimes mixing and matching two and three man stacks with some one-off hitters is the better route to go in order to give yourself more exposure to different offenses.

New York Yankees vs. Odrisamer Despaigne (RHP - Chicago White Sox)

In case you're new, I wrote a few weeks back about how I try to keep it simple when picking teams to stack. One trick - sort pitchers by Daily Matchup, scroll to the bottom, and pick one of the four teams listed. Easy. Today, I'm focusing on Yankees. In case you missed it, Edwin Encarnacion was traded to the Yankees on Saturday and it looks like there's a strong possibility he starts for the Yankees today. All aboard that hype train!

Washington Nationals vs. Archie Bradley (RHP โ€“ Arizona Diamondbacks)

I know. The Nats have been one of the most disappointing teams this season. However, they also tend to go off and score a dozen runs at times. I think they have a good shot at doing that today against Bradley (who is terrible) where it's going to be around 85 degrees in our nation's capital. My favorites in the stack: Turner, Rendon, Soto, and Adams.

Miami Marlins vs. Chris Archer (RHP โ€“ Pittsburgh Pirates)

I went into this slate hoping to make a case for Archer, but Holy Renfroe his Statcast numbers are terrible. Granted, the Marlins aren't a great team, but here's my other angle - I think Archer will be popular. Possibly one of the highest owned on the slate. I did a bunch of builds and he just fits. For that reason, I HAVE to stack against him. Cooper Anderson, Castro, and Alfaro are who I'm looking at most.

One-Off Hitters

Here Iโ€™ll highlight players at [roughly] different price points (high, mid, low) that could be used as a โ€˜one-offโ€™ piece in lineups -- or perhaps part of a two man mini-stack.

Gary Sanchez| DK: $5K, FD: $4.1K | OF | vs.  Odrisamer Despaigne  (RHP)

Sanchez has been killing it for the Yankees this season. I love him in Yankees stacks, and I love him as a one off.

Paul Goldschmidt |DK: $4.1K, FD: $3.4K | 1B | vs. Jason Vargas (LHP)

Goldschmidt is hitting the ball hard, he's just got nothing to show for it lately. Vargas has been good, but the Mets bullpen isn't great. A little patience, and this could really pay off today.

Yordan Alvarez |DK: $4.6K, FD: $3.8K | OF | vs. Trent Thornton (RHP)

Yordan has been mashing. His Statcast numbers are fantastic. I definitely have interest in stacking Houston. I think Alvarez needs to find a way into your Houston stacks but also serves as a one-off.
